Why do I need to take this course?

Upon successful completion of training, a nurse aide candidate will pass both the knowledge and skills portions of the competency exam

and meeting federal and/or state requirements will be listed on the MINAR. A newly trained nurse aide candidate must pass both the knowledge and skills exams within 24 months of completing a training program.
